Mary Katranzou translated her childhood beautifully into her collection. Crayola brights, rainbows, lego blocks and summer popsicles were evident in her sports luxe wear, broderie anglaise on jacquard, inflatable dance dresses and surface decoration. Nuances of childhood appeared in the form of polka dots and motifs from Paint by Numbers books.

Platform shoes were embellished with marbles; kitten heels resembled vending machine jelly, all laser cut, of course. Two dresses appeared like braided friendship bracelets.

Mary skillfully amalgamated the millenial trend into her brand look, prints and nylon the Kataranzou way. That's what I love about her. Retaining her design aesthetics so integral to her label and not changing it 360 to keep in with the millenial trend.
