Maria Grazia Chiuri known for her activist thinking and expression on a t-shirt - “We Should All Be Feminists” which got into reproduction countless times, is back with her new slogan - "Why Have There Been No Great Women Artists?"
The title of an essay published by Linda Nochlin in 1971, is the question asked by Dior's creative director in the Spring18 show at Paris Fashion Week on a striped t-shirt yesterday evening.

Inspired by the beautiful French feminist sculptress Niki de Saint Phalle and the challenegs she faced as a woman was the inspiration behind the Spring18 collection. The artist Niki, wears designer Marc Bohan's outfits which further inspired Dior's Spring18 collection. I love her take on denim - The fringed denim jacket, slogan tee, her love with monochrome in various forms- chequered, polka dotted, colour blocked. The t-shirt dresses, heart dress and sheer skirts ensure a sell out collection. Maria Grazia Chiuri will rocket revenues for Dior. Once again.
